I've got a buddy that has a Termi rear bumper cover that he has replaced. The old one has a bit of a crack in it, but it looks repairable. There are a lot of "plastic welders" out on the market now and some crazy expensive "plastic bumper repair kits" out there as well, but is all of this really necessary? I mean it seems to me that a good fiberglass patch on the back side + a sandable epoxy of some sort on the front would work or am I just missing something? What is used in most cases to fill/shave letters on these things?

It seems like some of these companies are overcomplicating this in order to make a buck... Am I wrong?

Any input would be seriously appreciated.. I'm gonna try my hand at fixing this thing because a free Termi bumper is FTW!

don't use fiberglass resin. It gets too hard and wil crack out of the urethane bumper cover.
sand off all of the paint in the area
v out the cracks and spread your epoxy resin uver the v'd areas.
sand smooth and cover with an epoxy primer
Paint as usual
