Anybody painted the cowl vent cover?

Just like the title says, mine is faded and I don't really wanna spend $174 on a new one. Is there anybody whose painted it to match their car? pics needed

I haven't painted mine but when i do I think i would do it as Satin instead of gloss.

Yeah that part, it's called the cowl vent cover according to latemodelrestoration.com, but I wanted to know if anybody painted it to match their car. Like ya'll do with your mirrors.

hmmm, I don't think it would look right not being black. I just got finished custom painting my whole car... even as a custom touch I think it would look a bit odd.

I was just curious, I plan on painting my mirrors soon to match, so I was just going to do that while I was doing my mirrors. So it would be a little different, I've never seen it done before.

You can revive them with some polish....rub it on like it was paint.

i havnt seen it in red, till you just posted the pic' but i have seen it done other colors and it doesnt look bad i dont think

Mine Broke and a guy gave me some shitty looking one for free so i was forced to clean it and paint it.
Ill Upload the pics and post them up in a Few.

Here are the pics.It has a little damage on the driver side buy the wiper but hey it was free so i can't complain.
The way i made the hood it over hangs the cover so you don't see much of it anyways.And i used Rustoleum Semi Gloss Black.
