Also if you're going to space things up 1" check to make sure your hood has the clearance, not just for the intake but the TB, etc.

not sure if this was taken care of or not but i'll post it for anyone else later.

first off emails should go to [email protected] but calling is almost always going to be better. AM is open 9am-9pm M-F eastern time and 9-5:30 Satuday (currently, will increase weekend hours for the holidays probably).

This particular problem is a little tricky. technically they do bolt onto the engine hence the 79-95 fitment. Sadly, i'm with you in saying, that it doesn't tell the whole story. the 94-95s don't fit when trying to put them on a stock car. it's pretty well documented on the interwebz about 94-95s and valve covers. frankly i'm surprised its not hitting the alternator because that is almost always the culprit. if that's not the case for you, then an intake spacer will fix the problem. Doing so will give you STB and potential hood clearance issues but will help isolate the upper intake from the engine heat and giving you longer runners which will help power. Now the second hurdle is that you are passed the 30 day but typically that's not a big deal. Personally i don't care about that unless you get snippy or angry with me over the phone. the more calm you are, the more willing people will be to help. Lastly, as long as the covers are not scratched up in anyway, we can return them. they have to be in their original packaging, otherwise there will be a restock fee.

I decided to go the intake spacer route, seeing in how ill probably have the same problem with any other set of valve covers. I have to figure outif there will be a STB clearance problem. I want to eventually get a cowl hood so the good won't be an issue really.
