Anyone had experience with this shifter knob?

The threads in my shifter knob have stripped out- time for a new one! I'm looking at getting an 05-07 knob but I want opinions on this-

Is it worth it? Or are they feeding us a line of BS? I could have an 8-ball drilled and tapped for less.

Now I'm off to order a new odometer gear from Late Model Resto. They NEVER break on our cars LOL
