as far as firewall adjusters go the brand wont matter too much but take these words of advice...

DO NOT USE ANY CLUTCH CABLE BUT FORD!!!!!

I promise you that all aftermarket clutch cables are JUNK! so if you do get it or any other firewall adjuster go back a brad new FORD clutch cable and get a spare one also and keep it in your car.. :)

they sell ford cables at Ford lol... :)

everyone i know who has gone with the UPR, Steeda cables, and such have them break all the time. I've replaced my cable 2 times and used a Ford cable each time, i know someone who has a 2002 gt and he went through 4 UPR cables before he got a Ford oem cable lol... they are all junk, but the Adjuster is nice to have, but i'd go with a Ford cable and not use the junky cable it comes with.. IMHO :)

Don't use UPR stuff... but I have the full Steeda quadrant, cable, and adjuster and it's amazing. Never had a single problem with it and it's smooth as the day I put it in.

The quadrants aren't really the problem, although some are better than others. It the aftermarket cables that are a full gauge thinner and snap with a mans touch. I haven't seen Fidanzas yet.

I called Spec today to see what brand they suggest using (my stock one is too short for some reason) and they said steeda.. ... .. . :-( just put in my order for steeda... came out to $100.00....

hm, interesting they say steeda. I use the cheapo BBK and Summit racing aftermarket ones, and only have them snap because of poor installation.(my Moroso oil pan is the culprit) They wear at the bellhousing when the clip is not used on the end of the cable housing. Stock cables are too short, and will partally disengage the clutch all the time, shortening the life of the clutch, because they are meant for a clutch that has a "shorter" or thinner overall height.

The steeda one snaps just as often.

FYI: A lot of the time the cable snapping is due to install error.
After you install an aftermARKET QUAD, YOU NEED TO BE sure NONE OF THE CABLES TOUCHES any PART OF THE SIDES OF THE NEW QUAD. (Fock, sorry about all the caps)
Some quads come with a couple spacers, some do not, and you may need to add your own.
Over time the cable will fray on the quad causing it to snap. The fraying is due to the quad not being PERFECTLY aligned with the cable. (Much like a serpentine belt fraying from a pulley being out of alignment)

Regardless, from what I've seen, ALL aftermarket cables are pieces of crap. Spend the $50 and buy a new OEM cable. Don't get starnded somewhere because you wanted to save $10

I run the original OEM stock cable (157K) with the "hand finished" Fiore Racing quad & firewall adjuster. It's been in place for 4 yrs. now. No issues or adjustment needed since. Nice piece.

trust me... i wanted to keep the OEM one.. and the only reason i went with steeda is because thats what the Spec sales person said to use... "I use steeda personally... they have a very nice set up, its nicely priced, and its high quality."

I would have used the OEM one, but it was too short...... . .. .. . . .. those SoBs.... lol.

anyways, when i install the new one, ill be sure to check that its riding properly on the quadrant....

Im also keeping my OEM one in my trunk at all times in case this one goes out.... if this one blows out, ill buy a MM...

I also have FRPP heavy duty clutch fork, FRPP heavy duty throw out bearing, and stock fly wheel....
