Anyone who has installed a billet grill with cut out, How did you go about mounting the pony emblem securely? My thought was to use a good adhesive on the back and use wire ties to hold it in place while it dries but I can't find the perfect adhesive that will last a long time. Any recommendations? Thank You.

JB Weld would probably work pretty well, you may never be able to get it off though. I've never been a fan of the billet grills on our cars, if you get into even a mild fender Bender it pushes the metal grill into the crash sensors causing the air bags to deploy.

that is one thing I too have never been able to say I liked or ever considered getting. I always wondered how you got to the hood-unlock rod under the pony to lift the hood up as well?

It doesn't interfere with that what so ever. Its down below the radiator cover.?.?
JB Weld it will be.

Thanks. I tried it once before. There is no flat surface on the pony or the cut out is the problem.

could you post a pic? I'm not quite sure what you mean.
Taking it off to take a picture wouldn't be convenient right now. Maybe I could paint a picture in your mind.
When you have the pony emblem in your hand, it is concave. The inside protrudes out in the same shape as what you see from the front so all you have to adheire to is the very outer edge of the pony.
That pony fits into the cut out of the billet grill. The grille is horizontal pieces of metal 1/4" thick and the back of the pony only physically touches a few spots of the thin horizontal grille.
So the outer edge of the pony is about 1/16" lip all the way around, only portions of that lip physically touches a couple of spots of the 1/4" grille slats.

Why wouldn't it be exactly the same? You pull the inside release, the hood pops up, you hit the second release through that opening

Slightly different but if you check my sig, my steel running pony is held on with only double sided tape. The stuff used for holding license plates to the bumper. Its seriously strong stuff. As sticky as `Sticky the stick insect when he was stuck on a sticky bun`.
