anything to trick egr sensor?

besides getting a tune is there anyway i can turn off the cel for my egr sensor??

i thought there was some sort of diode or something that i could get to plug into the sensor to trick it??

Take apart your EGR and solder or JB weld the plunger 1/2 way down works for most. You can buy a plug adapter for it on ebay also if you want to spend $$. Good luck.

i have done this with the plunger. works great!

Just get the plug adapter from ebay if you don't understand what they're talking about. IMO on our cars it is kind of pointless to delete the EGR unless you're doing the fox TB conversion. You don't lose any power and you can still keep the EGR while deleting the smog pump and crossover garbage.

y r u disabling it ne way? i tried the egr eliminator and it didnt work, i ended up with the check engine light. but i looked into it some more and its not doing anything at WOT. only at idle, so its not robbing u of n e thing really.... except the cleaner look i suppose...

its because i run a 1" phenolic spacer and that makes getting a egr tube very tricky...

I bought that egr plug thing off ebay - it didn't work. Still had a CEL and the car still ran like crap.


I hooked my EGR back up. Ran like a champ.



Oh, and EGR increases fuel mileage.
