The car was totaled in a front end collision in 2001. After being bought back from the insurance company it was sold to a middle age man who wanted to make it a project. After replacing the fenders, hood, bumper, radiator support and windshield he promptly ran out of funds and left it at the shop it was being worked on. After a few months the shop took over ownership and so it sat in a yard for the next 10 years until September of 2011 when I picked up the project where the PO left off. Almost 2.5 years later the car now runs and has every missing and broken piece replaced. The car is now a set of brake pads, rotors and tie rods away from being registered. Thanks for considering me for ROTM. It's an honor

I'm really excited I got nominated, thanks! Got this as my first car back in September 2012 as a gift. Black on black, 53K miles, 5.0, I was hooked once I laid eyes on it. Fast forward to 2014, and I've modified so many things its insane. I got the car with absolutely no modifications, 100% as is from Ford in 1995. It’s definitely been a work in progress, I'm lovin it!

After owning a 1995 V6 for 4 years I wanted a V8. While looking around to see what I wanted I fell in love with Bright Atlantic Blue.
I bought the car from a guy in Maryland, who was also a member here. He built the car as it sits today: Eaton M112 Supercharger, Saleen wing, Saleen wheels, very loud Magnaflow exhaust and several tastful small mods.
The car is a 1998 GT, original BAB with black cloth interior. It has just less of 65k miles on the clock.
I bought the car without seeing it. It arrived in the Netherlands in April 2010. The car is exactly how I want it and I want to maintain it. It's not adjusted to European laws (no binkers in the fender, no rear fog light) as I want to keep it clean and 100% American.
It's purely a hobby car. I enjoy driving it, taking photos of it and going to meetings. People love the color and the sound. My wife and I have been on holiday twice to France with it. Also it was our transportation on our wedding day.
As soon as I have a house with a garage attached, I want to do some small things, like a Mach1-lip and put back the black Saleen bezels. And just drive it, and enjoy it.
Next to the 98GT I own a 86 GT convertible.
