Are 15 year old plug wire bad???

Ok so I've had my 94 Stang for a year now and I haven't spent much time under the hood, been doing mostly cosmetic things to it over the last year. So I bought an MSD coil and when changing out the coil I got a closer look at my plug wires and they are original 1994!! Yee Haw! Anyone think its time for a new set??????????????

My 96 had OEM wires when I bought it, was happy to change them out for FRPP ones before they started to fail on me

I would do a whole Mait tune up anyway being a 16 yr old car. I try to do mine every 1 1/2 - 2 yrs on things like that.

i would look into some msd's or taylor wires. MY frpp wires are rather long, and kind of look yucky even if you try and run them cleanly.

I thought my FRPP wires were long too (when comparing to the motorcrafts) but once I had played with them a little they look great

You can always test your wires to see if there are any problems but since they are that old, I would just replace them. MSD Superconductors are some great wires and they look good too! :thumbsup:
