are caster/camber plates really needed for lowering the car if I take it to get an alignment?? Shouldnt having the car aligned just take care of the offset?? I dont really see the need for them other than to make the underhood look more pretty.... just wondering what the benifit is of having them?

Without plates my front tyres were tipping in at the top like a racecar, now thats great for handling, but bad for long term tyre wear.
On a daily driver even if your getting cheap tyres, the inner edge is going to vanish fairly quick, so to answer your question, no you dont have to, but i did so i could run slightly more vertical, and prolong tyre life. ;)

I didnt need them on my 97gt when running sportlines.. I DID need them on my 99 Cobra with sportlines. I think it is a crapshoot and varies on each car. They def. cant hurt you though ;)

I added Pro-Kits to mine. I never even thought about not adding C/C plates to it. I added FRPP ones off of summitracing.com. I show they were $75. Not bad to get it right, I thought!

if you want to get cc plates go for a good design like MM's 4 bolt design i think stangsuspension.com has them for 178.00 or something and thats a great brand..but to answer your question some shops cant get your car aligned all the way so the cc plates offer more adjustment then what is on your car stock

When i lowered my '99, i needed them, the tires were gettin eatin up QUICK! but that car was also so low you couldn't roll a baseball underneath the front bumper... as for my '95, I lowered it about a week ago, haven't noticed any pulls or jerks, but i'm taking it in to have it aligned next week, I plan on putting 4 bolt CC plates, UPR Bumpsteer kit, '03/'04 Cobra front control arms with Steeda X2 Ball joints on the '95. along with all new shocks and struts all the way around. that should get me in the clear as far as suspension up front.

when i put the pro-kit on my 98 i didnt need them... springs didnt cause a big amount of negative camber...

but now that i have coilovers i have to use them...

like said above... i think its a crap shoot, some need and some dont, depends on how low you go.

I didn't use em, after about two year's I had literally worn the inside corner right off the tire... Now it did take to year's to happen, but in the future, I'll be using them.

my front left tire leans in at the top like if you're looking at it from the front it kinda goes \ \ like that (lol)

what could cause that to be happening? If you had c & c plates you could almost do an alignment on ur car lol besides the toe part
