Bad idle...

These past few days, my 96 GT has had weird idle. Like it jumps all the way up to around 1.5k rpms then drops, and sounds like its about to stall, but doesnt and keeps doing it. Anyone know what I should look for or change or whats broken? :-\

try cleaning your iac and maf with carb cleaner...

+1 and check you PCV and for vacum leaks. Also, there is a small screw under the stock throtle body that can come loose and fall out and cause that. it's an allen screw with no head. Mine backed out twice before I switched to aftermarket.
