So Lately I have a bad vibration coming from what feels like the rear of my 94 GT. The vibration seems to only occur during lower speeds, and never does it while at a higher speed 40 or above I believe. It seems to only do it while traveling at a low rpm ( under 2k), does it more while traveling under load like say a hill or something, but has also done it on flat ground. This is not a constant thing though, more of a sporadic random sort of thing.
So I figured maybe the u joint might be going bad? Jacked up the car, U joints all look in really good shape visually, spun the d.s. by hand and didnt hear any sort of odd noises come from the d.s. or u joints at all? So then I figure maybe its a control arm bushing going bad and just binds every now and then causing the vibration. Check out the bushings, they look fine, no abnormal wear, cracks, nothing?? :dontknow:
So I look at the quad shocks as well and the rear shocks, all fine. No leaks present on the nose of the tranny or on the rear end. :BangHead: What the heck else could be causing the vibration, am I overlooking something obvious? Car was just balanced, it did it before the balance just slightly, but has become rougher since. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thats just it, the rear, d.s., and control arms are all stock, I only had it aligned because I got new tires on the front and it was due. I do have to replace the front drivers side bearing, but that cause a completely diff feel than the vibration. Thats why im lost, everything in the back of the car is completely stock. Wondering if maybe shims in the rear diff could be going bad and causing it, or something of that sort?

check the driveshaft bolts and make sure they are tight, I have also seen an axle cause vibration problems. A buddy of mine wrecked his car due to a vibration the left rear axle was cracked and he couldn't find the vibration anywhere until the wheel came off going down the highway and put him in an embankment totaled the car but he was ok.
