you can get 180* bent exaust tubes to route over to the sides. I saw a guy with a 95 do it before. Looked good.

Cool so I could open up that front side outlet and run it from there then have a guy weld up the hole in back?

I've seen a bassani side exhaust kit before... i wouldn't be cutting up a muffler. I highly doubt you'll get good results by taking a bassani muffler and changing the exit point.

For my 1st side exit set up I ran IMCO racing mufflers on it. They were really short. I then bought the true Borla set up. I ran that for about 2 months. It was a lot quieter than I wanted. I went back to the
IMCOs. I am running these with my dumps.

my car came with the bassani side exit kit with svo side skirts the went around the pipe. i really liked the way it looked but one of the side skirts broke so i took it off and ran flows straight out the back. sounds better now i think. you might be able to find the side exit kit on ebay or craigslist

Don't cut the muffler just have a muffler shop fab up a pipe and get some nice tips on them.

The muffler is designed for the specific inlet and outlets as far as internal construction. A side exhaust muffler (inlet/outlet on same side)
is designed differently internally than a rear exit muffler (inlet on opposite side of outlet). Your best bet is to find a used side exhaust
setup with the mufflers included, or see if you can get an exhaust shop to bend piping from your rear exit mufflers.

My sound now is definitely the best mine has been through 7 different set ups. When I was running the out back exhaust, my best sound was with FM 40 series. I'm looking to go back to them just to see what it sounds like. If not as good, they will go on my friend's 94 GT.

Bassani does make a side exit kit, as mentioned above, for the 4.6 cars, but no feat in adapting them to a 5.0L Sn95.

Also Spintech makes a side exit kit, as does Magnaflow (found in the ROUSH side exit system, but through Roush only for the kit, Magnaflow only sells the mufflers).

Dynomax had a kit, that was sold with the CDC (Classic Design Concepts) side exhaust kits with the CDC Side Skirts back in the day, utilizing a SuperTurbo muffler. Again Dynomax only sells the the mufflers.

What would be required to adapt them, and are they priced up the ass?

The Spintech side exhaust kit, part number SX61000, lists for $519.95 on their website.

The Roush side exhaust kit, on their website here, http://store.roushperformance.com/searchresult.aspx?CategoryId=417&fromSearch=1 , shows the kit for almost $1000!!!!! The mufflers alone are $195 each on the roush website.
However, you can buy the Magnaflow mufflers from say Summit racing for way less. Part Number 14210.

CDC does not sell their side exhaust kits anymore for the 94-98 cars. They do for the 99-04 cars, but it comes with the side skirts, which wont work on the 94-98 cars. $1100 they are listed for!
Dynomax does sell the mufflers alone tho. Part Number 17676. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-17676/?image=large
