get at least 2 guage, and a decent battery, because when you need to start it, the electricity has to run 20 feet now instead of 5. I ended up putting a red top in my engine compartment for starting because I had some close calls. I have a yellow top in the trunk. Also make sure you get a good chassis ground. I drilled through my floorboard, and connected it to my frame, and make sure you use grommets any time you are going through sheet metal, especially the power wire. I can take some pics tomorrow if you like.

I agree with venom, on the location for the cut off, I've seen people actually cut through their license plate and put the kiil switch in the middle so it's always accesible, or you can put it in the key hole, and just rely on the trunk button or your alarm clicker to get into your trunk. The lock is easy to remove, and it would be easy to put back, and you would never have to drill. my $00.02

So how did you wire yours all up? I want to move my battery this winter.

I didn't, I hate electrical work. Friend of mine did it at his shop.

vemon, i like how you have that, ive seen that done on foxes with it hiding behind the plate and im thinkin thats how i will do mine, mostly because that way no one can mess with it if its parked somewhere, and i didnt feel like cutting up my tail lights. as for the wire, ive heard 1 gauge welding wire is a very good thing to use, anyone here have any imput on that? as for battery its a brand new one but its nothin special, think it was a autozone one or somethin. should i be too worried about that for now? i literaly just put it in this past spring when i got the car out. if its a problem its not a huge deal.

If its a new battery you should be fine. I pretty sure 1 gauge cable was used on mine

oh, also when drilling through the floor make sure you remove the gas tank before you start! You will have to tighten bolts anyway, I did mine when I replaced my fuel pump, so i didn't have to drop the tank twice. Good Luck!

yea ill probably just go ahead and do some preventative maintence and put a new pump in while its down..and yea definatly be using gromets any where theres a hole the wire goes through. i have a buddy that built a fox to drag race so hes done all this stuff before and im sure ill be havin him help along the way just to make sure it gets done right

i did mine similar to venom but i had my switch between the plate bulbs. a much cleaner discrete look but you will have to cut the trunk a little

yeah cutting the trunk is the only downside to it but on the other hand its something thats never seen unless the trunk is up.

just curious, will that pass track tech? since it would be up there kinda hard to see. just wondered, i dont race more than 4-5 times a year and its always just TnT, so i wouldnt think it would be too strickly enforced.

Yes it will pass. Just have to have the plate removed during racing so that the switch is visible and accessible.

you dont happen to anothe pic from the back lookin towards the car do you? if not no biggy, looks like a nice clean install tho. also, the T-handle that sticks out, is that threaded so you can unthread it so no one can mess with it? or is it just there for good?
