ran into an old friend today, he has a be cool aluminum radiator that he said he would sell me for $100 its 31x17.5 just a little larger then my stock radiator. all the plumbing and cap are in the correct locations for it to fit.

on summit and jeggs they cost like $600-900 i don't know if they are the beez kneez or not but theres no way I'd pay that kinda money on one. this seems like a good deal to me so are they worth while or is it an overpriced soda can scrap heap?

let me know any experience you have had with or seen from Be Cool radiators.

may i inquire how long its been in use under your watch?

i bought it around 2004-2005 when i had a powerglide in the car. had a loose converter and with the 1 7/8 long tubes at the time the radiator / clutch fan that was in it was not enough. the becool / twin spal fans fit like a glove and cleared my 8" blower pulley which was my main concern.

I have one that its custom fit, 3" core.
If its not made for your car I wouldn't get it, as mine its pretty wide and the fan wires are pretty close to the belt.

I did notice a HUGE difference after I installed it.
Ill post some pictures once I get home

its the same thickness as a stock 5.0 rad the core is the front most (bumper side) its within working dimensions i dont see why i would have an issue cause its not made for my exact car. people have been swapping radiators in and out of whatever gets hot since they were invented. its not rocket science.

i didnt read that it was as wide as the stock radiator.

no need for the "its not rocket science" it seems that it is for those who start threads asking questions about radiators :tongue3:

here i found a old pic... you can see the 8" crank pulley is real close to the one motor on the fan. the belt clears the motor even though it looks like it is touching. you would have more room as the s-trim crank pulley is 6.87"

^badass^

sorry didnt mean to snap, but a lot of times people become nay sayers for no good reason.

its the same width height and length, looks just like a stock 5.0 rad but its not plastic its all square aluminum looks top notch, i'll try to get it before i go to boise for my powerdyne kit.
