If your building a 331, I would not even bother with a AFR 165/Trick Flow Twisted Wedge head.

I would go right to a AFR 185 head, Edelbrock Performer RPM II, and a custom cam from Ed Curtis or Jay Allen.

I'm building a 331 with Twisted Wedge heads and an off the shelf cam and I'm willing to put it up against anyother street driven 331/347. :thumb:

Or Paul's 418W for that matter. :rollinglaugh:

Why not bother with the ones you mentioned?? What kind of numbers would i see from the setup your talking about (RWH)?

The 165s are just too small of a head and they will restrict you from growing in the future. The 185s cost the same or right at the same as the 165s and will make ALOT more power than the 165s will. Cutting the pistons and going with the 185s over the 165s will give you quite a bit more power. Not only at peak but all across the curve and the biggest part....you can grow later and not have to sell the heads and buy new ones. I'm telling you this because I didn't listen to most and it ended up costing me quite a bit of money when I went to sell my 165s to go bigger.

It makes over 400 ft lbs through nearly the entire RPM band actually.

If your car runs faster than 12.88 @ 111 mph, then you're faster than me. Pretty simple. My car's not fast, but I'd still take it over your piece of shit every day. :)

Paul.

Oh, and you should post more pictures of your blown cobra. It's weird that you don't mention owning it on any other forums???
