best nitrous kit for 94 5.0?

what is the best kit for my 5.0 for friday night drags. I have o/r h pipe flowmasters 3.73 gears a cai and pullies also a systemax upper and lower.


i was going to get nitrous like 150 shot or somthing and call it a day. would i need new injectors and a different fuel pump if i get nitrous or am I ok.

just buy like a brand x wet kit and buy the window switches and such and youll be good to go.

If you dont plan on running anything more than a 150 shot go dry. Look at the nx plate kits. Do your research as nitrous is a blast but it can also be dangerous when abused or used incorrectley. Do yourself a favor and get a window switch and pressure guage at minimum. Upgradeing you fuel pump would be a good idea also.

I've used Compucar and NOS wet kits with success for exactly what you're doing. The Compucar kit was inexpensive and worked flawlessly. There is no "best" kit.

Buy a wet kit, and use the jetting specified by the manufacturer. You don't need to upgrade your injectors, get a tune, or any of that nonsense. You could use a larger fuel pump. A Walbro hi-flow drop in pump (i.e. 190 or 255 lph) would be fine.

Follow the instructions in the kit, and you will be just fine. Wet kits are the way to go as they supply the needed fuel rather than waiting for the injectors to compensate for the oxidizer. This has been discussed at length on this forum, so a quick search will yield some helpful information.

x 2 on the nx kit, i have a nx wet kit and love it start off with the small 50 shot then 75 then 100 then 150, every time you go up its like a new car lol have fun and retard your timing

yea my timing is set right now at 10* is 150 a massive kick in the pants when u use it ? very noticable ? like i was asking does it stay on the entire time u have your foot into it or only a blurp of power

ya get in set up to a WOT switch so its only on when the gas is to the floor and when u switch it on, and the nx kit is close to a 150 whp gain with the 150 shot so ya its a real kit in the pants, u will like it trust me lol

30 bucks to fill a 15 pound bottle thats amazing, i hate that everything is cheaper in the US, it cost me about 80 bucks to fill a 10 pound bottle

80 bucks for a 10lb bottle with 5-6 shots holy fuck thats not worth it at all. I think i am going to get a H/C instead and some 4.10s

ya it is pricey but i dont really use it that much. my friends cars started to get really fast so i had to kick it up a notch. i plan on useing it a few times a year at the track till i save up enough money to buy a nice supercharger.
