at 80 bucks a fill for 5-6 shots thats damn expensive tho wouldnt u say ?? heads cam and intake cost about 2000, and you have that 100hp gain forever unlike ur 1 second burst of 100hp lol

It's not $80 to fill a 10 pound bottle. You get more than 5-6 hits out of a 10 pound bottle. Heads/cam/intake is more than $2000, especially if you can't do all the labor yourself.

Nitrous is cheap and effective.

I pay 70 to fill my 15lb bottle here in cali and that is the MOST EXSPENSIVE i've ever had to pay. On another note...I loved my compucar kit. Never had a single problem. THey're rebuild their solenoids for free....just pay shipping!

I just hate the idea of having to keep paying for your power adder to work, you dont need to buy boost and install it in a supercharger or anything other then gas for a H/C/I set up lol

Comparing a blower to nitrous is comparing apples to hand grenades. They're two completely different things. You can have nitrous up and running in an afternoon for a few hundred bucks. A blower is going to cost you a couple grand, plus the need for a bigger fuel pump, injectors, tune, supporting hardware, etc.

You can buy a LOT of nitrous for a few thousand bucks, not to mention you retain 100% flawless drivability with nitrous. The thread wasn't about whether a blower was better than nitrous, it was about which nitrous kit to use.

Not everyone has the money you have to buy thousands of dollars in parts and then pay someone even more money to install them for them. The guy wanted to know what nitrous options he had. It is fine to not like nitrous - but perhaps it would be better to stay out of a nitrous thread in that case.

My .02

Yes true but its also good to point out what the cost of Nitrous refill is in relation to other avenues of increasing power

It really should be whether you should go wet or dry b/c most kits are very similar, its not like comparing different sets of heads or Intakes.

wet and dry doesnt matter that is still preference

Wet vs Dry is not a matter of preference, and it DOES matter. Based on my own experience with nitrous, discussion with lots of friends who have used LOTS of nitrous over the last couple of decades, and the fact that I can't think of a single pro racer who uses a dry kit - wet kits are superior in engineering and performance.

We pay $50 to fill a 10lb bottle here in NJ.

My buddy gets 4 full passes on a 1/4 mile track on his NX 150 Wet Shot. To give you an idea of what kind of power a 150 shot will give you...he has a 1994 Cobra, UD pulleys, Full exhaust and the Spray.

He destroyed a 2003 Corvette Z06 from a 50mph roll.
