So I go to put in my totally awesome Tokico suspension kit today. I both balljoints were pretty much done. Little did I know they would be the biggest POS to take out. It wasn't so much the ball joint as it was the thing that holds the brake caliper on. They were so rusted it took almost a can of PB Blaster to get them to lift off. Then pulling them wasn't to much fun. However other then that things went smoothly. I just need to do the back ones.

Question about MM C/C plates. I put them on. However I lost a spacer. Can I just get one from Home Depot or something? Also how did you guys put them in? I put one small spacer on the bottom and the rest on top(i.e you can see them) thats what it said about dropping the car. Please correct me if I am wrong. And what should I do to get the wheels as alligned as possible till I can take it to a shop?

I'll do my best to answer this a little bit at a time.

I must admit I've never replaced balljoints. I'm lazy so I just replace the whole control arm.

A liberal amount of anti-seize before reinstallation may ease this process in the future. :) Glad you got 'em off.

Not sure. You could always check there, or call MM and see what they recommend.

You need to install the struts as far "up" through the plate as possible to maximize bump travel, but have a spacer so that the strut (and coilover maybe?) clears strut tower and can articulate freely. The instructions explain this pretty clearly if memory serves. I'd double check there.

Paul.

Well it's up as far as it can go because I set the car back down, however since I am missing one of the spacers the nut can barely get down to the spacers. I'll see what I can do then let you know. Ill also give MM a call.

be sure to check your hood clearance.

after i installed my MM c/c plates i had issues with the top of the strut hitting the hood. you are only required to have one spacer between the nut and cc plate. just move them around accordingly.

My car has a cowl hood...so i wouldn't have to worry about the strut hitting the top :hammer: :TY:
