I am thinking of going to a bigger throttle body on my GT 5.0. It is currently 65mm. Reading previous posts it look like the intake manifold is 70mm. Would a 70mm throttle body be the biggest I could put on without porting the manifold? Would only going up 5mm be worth it?

you will be able to feel your wallet is lighter which can allow us to convince ourselves that it is a little bit faster when you consider lighter is faster....

now that is not to say that if in the future you plan on heads/cam/supercharger and more over some time that you can't start there as many of us have. But if you expect to actually gain hp/notice it is faster, not yet.

You will notice more by removing the rear end dog bone weight if you have not yet. Depending on model the front end vibration damper weight also. Free mods.

Front end vibration damper? Is that similar to a motorcycle hydraulic steering damper? Perhaps my Cobra R didn't come with one of those because I don't recall seeing such a contraption...
