Black box

Alright I was removing the brake booster and I noticed a little box box floating around up in the dash. It looks like it was wired in and not from the factory. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Says FCC on it. Something along the lines it complies with part 15. Which when I look that up it says RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES

Its for tracking the car if you dont make your payments. Did you finance the car? If not it was from a previous owner that got the car financed so if he stops making payments they can locate the vehicle and repo. My dad works for a finance company and they install these things on almost every car they sell.
