So now I want to boost my stang while the engine is out not for a rebuilt but a freshen up. She's pretty much stock expect a comp cam dunno which one exactly it cam installed when I bought the car. I came across a couple of options for sale I need some advise on which is a better unit and more reliable while still putting out decent hp and tq numbers.

1.
Vortech v1 s trim blower kit

this is a complete kit with crank pulley (not in pic)

The tube between the blower has been modified for a fox throttle body

The power pipe has been messed with also.

Has a bypass valve

Unit is in good condition and drive it tight

Asking $1300 shipped

2.
BD-11a Powerdyne Kit
This is the 9 psi kit. It is polished. It has about 1000 miles on it and is in the car still. Comes with power pipe. No FMU, I used a custom tune. Excellent condition! $1000 shipped!!!
Would need the bracket for this to install on my car. Is this available to buy from powerdyne new?

Are either of these good deals?

Im leaning toward the vortec...

considering the prices new yea they sound like great deals. you're going to need a custom tune regardless of which one you get. If you're on stockish internals I wouldnt boost over 10# to be safe. But a good tuner may allow for a lot more.

Powerdyne I've heard a lot of good things about them, and polished is sweet.

Or you can anxiously wait for the On3performance turbo for 94/95 mustangs like I am. I just picked up my block from the machine shop and im hopping for about 400hp.

Vortech and never look back. If you are just looking for a little more extra kick. The powerdyne is okay but you will be A LOT more happier with the Vortech. Trust me.

Well out of those two... Defiantly the Vortrech. I have a Vortech and a Kenne Bell SC Mustang, I have to say the KB is a fun street car. Instant torque and decent HP, my 95 GTS has the KB 353RWHP 412RWTQ... Stock motor with 8psi.

Vortech for sure. The powerdynes aren't as good of a unit. The vortech sounds like a good kit, just swap over to the fox throttle body or buy the tube from vortech to put it back to an sn style. You will really like it, and they are very dependable blowers. make good power and have very docile street manners.

I say vortech, and you may not have to have a custom tune to run it! Install a 255lph intank pump, 42lb. injectors, a good ignition system like a msd 6btm, and a c&l 76mm mass air. I have two friends with 95 mustangs running a vortech s trim kit with no custom tune with the listed mods plus heads and cam and intake and their cars run fine with no problems what so ever one of them is making 11psi. and 430rwhp. The good thing about the vortech kit is you can always change the pulley later on to make more power if you want.
