Borla Stingers???

Where can i find Borla Stinger Mufflers? i want JUST the mufflers, not a catback. cant find them ANYWHERE! thanks for any help!

You won't find just the mufflers unless someone gets tired of them. I sold mine to Chris.

well ive just found them on the Borla webpage. $200 APIECE!!! o well. looks like ima have to save $400 for mufflers unless i can pick some up off someone. they dont offer a catback for the SNs....

the tips just wont look as good

exactly. the tips would look like a$$! ive got bassani dumps on my 98GT now. so im gonna try and buy some more tailpipes and get these mufflers

I had the Catback for the Mach 1 on mine minus the 4" tailpipes

Email from Borla regarding the Stingers:

"Thank you for contacting BORLA PERFORMANCE. The 40842s mufflers will be the same ones used in the 140067 kit"

140067 Kit is the 99+ Stinger cat back

I bought mine used from an older guy who said the stingers were too loud for him on his 03 cobra, paid $125 shipped. The bad thing about waiting around for them to pop up used is they get snatched up very fast.

yeah. i Chris told me to check on summit, jegs, etc. which i hadnt even done(dumba$$) found them on Jegs for $154. $46 cheaper apiece than from Borla themselves. im running Bassani Dumps now. gonna sell them when i get these. just have to find some nice tailpipes to run now since ive sold my stock ones

Just pick up a 99-04 set of Tailpipes. Cheap and 2.5" and look good for stock pipes.

im convinced the mufflers used in
the stinger system are 40842S.

The stinger system says it uses
"type S" Mufflers.

the other two that could possibly be
what your looking for are 400024 and
40085. these are all numbers on summit
racing.

the stinger and "type S" muffler are the same thing. trying to decide what tailpipes to get as im DEF not wanting the 99-04 tailpipes. they really look out of place on SNs. @ least the ones with the short round muffler tip

Our of place ??? what do you mean by that... There just larger then the stock ones we have on our cars. I have a set of 03 GT pipes on my car.

i had 2004 Mach 1 tips on mine

Im sure theres some pn svtp.com, Borla seems to be a top choice on the Termi's

4" tips look huge for sure, especially when you don't have a cutout in the bumper for them.
