brake question?

Well I got the motor running and everything as some of you may know. Motor runs perfect. The problem is I have no ps or power brakes, are the two linked somehow? I washed my car today and it looks like only the front brakes are working that seemed to be where all the brake dust was anyway. Any suggestions????? Could it be a vacuum hose somewhere I missed or what?? thanks

power steering is the basis of the hydroboost (hydraulic over hydraulic brake booster).

are you sure all the fluids are topped up? i'm going to assume the power steering pump shit the bed.

the ps pump pressure hose has a hole in it so I have no ps at all. I just let it all drain out and figured that I would just be without ps. So when I get the ps working my brakes will come back?

yes, get your PS hose fixed asap. as mentioned above, thats where the power assist from the brakes comes from. fix that and you will be good to go.
