I was at Ford Racing's site earlier and I noticed the 4 piston brembo brakes that come on the new edge cobra. has anyone installed these on earlier models? I want to know the level of difficulty involved in the process. Thanks!!

They were only factory for the 2000 cobra R

OR
2005-2010 body style / 2007-2010+ gt500 shelbys,

New edge = 1999-2004 model, they did not come with the brembo 4 piston, they came with the reg 2 piston pbr/brembo rotor package for the 94-2004 cobras, but both kits are both sold on frpp.com, I purchased and I installed the reg cobra brakes on my 95 gt with no problem. but I cant say the same for the "larger "4 piston set, All I kno is in order to install both brakes you need a min size rim of 17or 18 inch rim to fit the brakes the larger ones might req 18-19 inch rims for the front to fit,

17-18 inch min req for the 2 piston cobra brakes due to 13 inch brembo rotors. and larger 2 piston cobra pbr calipers.

18-19 inch req for the 4 piston brembo kits having large 14-15 inch brembo rotors and large 4 piston calipers.

There is also a big price diff the reg cobra kit can be had for anywhere from
prices of= $299-$599,

The cobra R 4 piston kit is $899-$1,200

I belive frpp.com sells both kits for $499-$999.

Thanks man I didn't know all that. I'm getting the Cobra R 4 piston calipers for sure. I got rims that they will fit behind. :)
