Good luck finding a Kenny Bell. Website says out of stock. I called and they couldn't give me a time line for when they'd have more. Definitely on my list too.
The heat Is abysmal even with ceramic coated pipes and header wrap and a heat extractor hood... in 80 ambient temps..In the last three days, I have gone back and forth 47 times of which I want. Last night I switched over to wanting a KB. Factoring in it is a true all in one kit, direct bolt on and all new parts as opposed to looking for and hoping used parts work and don't need a rebuild and being nickel and dimed to death during the build process.
Also the added heat in the engine bay of a turbo set up, being in AZ, is not so super appealing. I've been under two of my cars trying to make a remote mount system freezable. Routing the cold side pipes back up to the throttle body has been my biggest stopper. With long tubes there is basically zero space to come up there. Another option was routing then inside the cabin. On my track car that would be easy peezy. Not so much with AC and everything in the street car. Using oval-ed out flatter piping might work going to the passenger's of the passenger header. Ground clearance then becomes an issue.
I saw that. Then on some third party sites, they say 4 months lead time. Saleen shows 4-8 weeks. I contacted Saleen and they said KB is renewing their factory and that they have been on that 4-8 week pace with the kits that they have ordered.Good luck finding a Kenny Bell.
