Hi guys,

today I cleaned my engine. The engine was warm and at idle, as I cleaned it.
After a few hours later I started the engine and the check engine light goes on. Also the car is bucking :BangHead:

So what can be the problem? Maybe a wet ignition plug? :dontknow:

I had the same thing happen when I did my 96 and after driving for about a half hour (20 miles) or so it went away. So im assuming it was a wet sensor, connection or some thing along that line. Try driving it for alittle while or let it sit over nite and see if it goes away.

Could be any of the following... I know this sounds crazy....

if you have a 5.0 you might have gotten water in the rotor/distributor.

if you have a 4v you may have gotten water inside the plug channel.

your maf may be wet!

humidity / water between the the plug wires and the cap

So guys I have sold the problem. 2 ignition cables are broken and the water from the engine cleaning entered. I buy 2 new ignition cables and the problem is gone.

Thanks guys :headbang:
