Well, it's getting closer everyday, so I figure I'll chronicle a little bit of what I did up to this point, and carry on from there.

Current time up until now: [email protected] 1.82 60ft times with a bone stock longblock.

Simple pictures to get up to date, and then I'll chronicle it in detail from here on out:

Car when I bought it, bone stock, but with a Salvage title. I bought it to make a drag car/weekend car out of it, so the title didn't matter.

OK, so where am I at right now?

Waiting on the RSD and side panel kit from ScottRodFab to match the trunk panels.
Waiting to install the Kirkey seat. I'm having 2" aluminum spacers made tomorrow to raise them up to a manageable level.
Built rear end with 31 spline everything and all new everything else will go in on Friday.
Line Lock will be installed on Saturday.
Installing the Hoosier Drag Radials 275/60/15's before my next trip to the track.

Have HiTech Stage 2 cams waiting in the wings for when I max out the bone stock engine.

Ordering a WOT Box on Thursday to make my launches more consistant.

Awesome work man. I love what you did... where did you get that abs delete block? I need to invest in one.

I got it from Phil from Mach 1 registry, I believe he's offering them on Ebay now.

Well, just imagine when the chassis and suspension is all done and it's running 11.99's and I add a power adder. This is only the beginning.

The ultimate goal is to build a 324ci high compression engine, and put the nitrous back on it and spray it again. But I'm taking care of the chassis and suspension first, so I'll never have to worry about that part again.

Thats awesome, I love 2v NA motors :) I made it to 12.6x with an NPI car a few years ago, heads cams, and intake swap. Great job!!!

I have a good feeling that with a rear end that actually works with a little more gear in it (had 4.10's) and the Hoosiers on the car instead of 555R's, I can cut a 1.6 60ft time, and run a 12.3-12.4 as she sits right now. I've taken about 140lbs out of the car since the 12.7 run as well. I think once I get the electric waterpump, wot box, throttle body and a few other things worked out, and can launch at 5500-6000, I may be damn close to my goal without the cams. The cams and a retune should get me there no problem, if needed.

Then I'll start the 324 build and get a bit serious.

If your running a wot box look in to a Rick Switch. I had 373's, stock axles and MT ET Slicks and was a 1.62 but had to shift to 4th at 1k mark and it was killing me, no power shifting and was launching between 5400-5600 (no 2step or wot box/rick swtich)

I don't quite understand drag racing.. but I can still appreciate a good project and it looks like you're going about it the right way with an actual plan. Only thing I don't like is the bumper.

See it works like this, there's a quarter mile stretch...
