95 transmission for a 91 foxbody

So I have a dilemma with my foxbody. I have a 91 mustang and it was a 4cyl automatic. I bought a sn95 5.0 and converted everything. But I ended up converting it to carb.. yea I know, why?

My dilemma is finding a transmission that works with the carburetor and the 5.0. I’m looking for a 70-78 Ford C4 transmission. With the dipstick that goes into the transfer case, not the pan. Wondering if you guys can help me out or point me to the right direction to a C4 transmission. Or can a 64-69 ford C4 transmission works.

Any transmission will work with your combo. Do you have the transmission from the 95?

I cannot comment on auto trans, but a t5 from a 94+ sn95 has a longer input shaft and different bellhousing than a foxbody version. That I do know.. would double check regardless of the trans you use

So I have the transmission but since the transmission is AOD. Mechanic wants a 70-79 transmission C4. Just on this thread to post who has one available in the AZ area

Why does your mechanic want a c4? You can run an Aod pretty easily with that setup. Or you can go 4r, 6r, 10r or even a gm trans, god forbid, with an aftermarket controller.

I know you’re balls deep but another possibility is to swap everything from the firewall forward from the sn to your fox including the transmission and ecu.

The point is, you’re not stuck with old tech.
