They are very close in weight when we removed ours on our race car they were very similar in weight.

i would look else where to save weight if you aren't turning your car into a track car. would really suck if you did in fact get into a wreck.

I agree with Trey. If it's not gonna be a track car, I wouldn't mess with the bumper supports.

they really aren't anywhere near as strong as the stock pieces. two small bars of aluminum won't absorb the impact from an accident like the stock steel one will.

ill weigh my front one for ya tommorow. I took mine off cuz it was just hanging there. its wasent welded or bolted on in any way.
