Time to burn them till they POP :)

That was on Mythbusters. Apparently you can't get a tire to do that.
Pop? they can pop but they can't burst into flames

Was that what it was?
yea supposedly during the burnout the friction would be great enough that the tire would literally catch on fire, but it was Busted!

can you still catch the ground on fire? i could have sworn I've seen some videos where the starting location had a small flame on it.
Could be wrong though... :dontknow:

Good burnout.

To the discussion going on in the above posts; you might not be able to catch your tires on fire, but I'm pretty sure I've seen people set their brakes on fire.

In the old days they used to pour a small amount of fuel onto a tire then light it while the car did a burnout as part of the "night of fire" shows

Back to the OP, nice vid. I need to dig up the one I have of my old fox body and post it one of these days .

Cool burnout, that definitely sounded like french, and me thinking probably Canada. Its definitely interesting how they have day time running lights on mustangs up there. I loved how the smoke came out the side rear air duct, a true 94/95 feature.
