OK so theres a deal on a 95 mustang with a blown headgasket im interested in just for the sheer fact that with that price i'd have enough left over to do a head swap. My step dad says that a lot of times when u blow a headgasket you crack the block too, is this true and is there anyway to tell before i buy it.

Kind of difficult to determine if the block is cracked without close inspection.

well if it is you can buy a new engine for as little as 300 running.

for 900 if the rest of the car is in good shape I say go for it, I wouldnt think twice personally. its a GT? or 3.8?

That's cheap. Even if the whole motor is trashed, you can buy a budget shortblock from 5.0resto for $700, and a TFS complete top-end kit for $2500 from summit. Basically you'd have a 300 hp 5.0 less than five grand with an all-new motor. Not bad.

Yeah its a 5.0 5 speed but if it isnt cracked im just gonna take the money from my mustang im gonna sell for 2700 and get a full top end kit

that is a really good deal.. with a blown head gasket i would be more weary of cracks in the heads (between the valves.. etc.)
but either way i would snag that up in a heartbeat.
