Buzzing from one speaker

I just got brand new Kicker DS speakers and i like them but since the very first time i played them the right speaker has a bizzing sound. not all the time. just at certain loudness/tones. but the left one is playing perfectly.
why would the one speaker do this? there brand new so I dont think it could be blown..

are you sure it is the speaker or something else that is vibrating? take the door panel off and see if it does it still, if it does then isolate where it is comming from. If it isn't mounted securly it could vibrate.

Make sure all the wires are tight, a loose ground can cause a "buzzing" sound when its knocked around.

I took the door panel off and the noise is coming from the speaker. and I checked all wires. there nice n tight.
i had the speaker in my hand playing and it sounds like a vibration coming from the side where the voice coils are.
nothing on the speaker is loose though.

could just be a bad speaker. to find out take the drivers side one and plug it in, if its fine then you have your answer.

sometimes after you mount it, the speaker wire will be in such a position that it is rubbing the cone under heavy volume when it is really moving. take the speaker out and try to secure the wire to ensure this isn't happening.

The only other part of the speaker that can really make a noise is the tinsel leads on the back of the speakers. These are the copper wires that go from the part you conect to, through the spider to the voice coil. Sometimes they are too long or just not mounted perfect and will slap the speaker under heavy excursions. When you have them out see if there are any rubbing marks by the leads, or if they are loose or extra long ect........

Ill take a look at the wires on the speaker and check for the marks. if it looks normal im guessing I have a bad speaker like Red said. I already made sure that the speaker wire was not touching the woofer. I really appreaciate the hlep guys

see if it makes the noise when it is not mouned to the door as well.

I did. I had it in my hand while playing and still did it...i cant find any reason why it does this. I checked all the things I was told to. but I found that if I turn the trebble up it kinda hides it...

sounds like you have a bad speaker. If it is under warrenty I would take it back.
