I am doing a report for school this semester involving magetorheological fluids or ferrofluid. This magnetic reactive material is used in various automobiles suspension. Could anyone get me some information for my report that i could reference.
Any help is appreciated.

haha it might be, anyway i know the basics... its a shock and instead of oil inside, there is ferrofluid (magnetic fluid) . there is signal wires ran to the shock to feed it electrical impulses, and based on the voltage sent to each shock(controlled by computer) it will stiffen to limit body roll around corners and improve traction. BMW, GM, ferrari are examples of cars that use this system for suspension.

Yea, see I work for ford, and we don't have that. I know we have 3504's (rack and pinions) that are electronically assisted and cost about 1300 dollars at warranty price, 1600 for walk in.

Those will only be found on the top of the top $$$$$ car lines.
They are pretty sweet but ultra expensive.

They are self adjusting shocks that run an electrical current that senses when the ride needs to be stiffer or softer and adjusts to the needed stiffness to maximize ride and performance.

They may be the future of all suspension dampers if the cost comes down.
