Guys,

I got a 331ci looking for a cam to run on this new engine. In my current set up I used an e303. I was wondering what your input would be for a cam used with a Kenne Bell Supercharger? Let me know I know the e303 pulls til about 6200rpm. I really dont want to spend the money if I dont have to. Looking at about 500hp range to the wheels...

You know what you want (500 at the wheels) but dont want to spend the money (for the proper equipment)?

Thats not gonna work well. :rollinglaugh:

Well if you do that I dont think you can get mad for not getting the result you want.

I know AFM makes a good blower cam called the B-31 works well and has good idle and vacuum. Its like 289.00. I had it in my last combo.

But personally I'd go custom for another 30-40 bucks.

I didn't want to get a different cam because I have been happy with the e. Thanks for the advise. Did you run your B-31 with AFR heads? Is anyone here using a custom Isky Cam? They are near my neighborhood I was thinking of checking them out.

With a 302 an E cam works fine...plenty of people have used it over the years.
But, it is WAY too small for a stroker. In fact, the B-31 I recommended is a bit small for a stroker too, but I recommeded it because its a blower cam and does well for what it is. But like I said, I'd just get a custom for another 40 bucks.
Anything else you run is gonna be in the mid 200 buck range anyway so you may as well step up and get closer to the results you want because not only is doing things twice a pain in the ass, its also expensive.

I ran my B-31 on a 302 with GT40 iron heads. Sounded nice, ran well.... never got a chance to dyno it because the rotating assembly took a crap. :crying:
So when I built my current 342 I planned to use it because I already had it and knew it was a bit big for my 302, but when I compared what I would need from a cam for a stroker, I decided to just go to a pro and get a custom. Jay Allen did mine... 310 bucks shipped to my house and I couldn't be happier with it.

the E-303 is going to be a huge restriction on a blown 331, im running the z-303 fairly effectively in my car, how ever if you really wanna make the power a dual pattern cam is the way to go, call up the guys a comp cams tell them what your doing they will set you up with something thats close to your needs if not they can do a custom grind cam as said before
