It's damn near in the middle, I believe it even says PI in quotes, but I'm a bit foggy now.

yeah, i think thats about right. it should have a "PI" stamped somewhere towards the middle of the head, under the cam. i tried finding a picture i had of it, but i wasnt able to. :*(

didnt have a chance to check today may do it this weekend, my thaught is that it has a 99-04 gt motor in it, i mean if it has the pi swap like it looks id imagine it should run better, but idunno, my friends exhaust and gear 98 ws6 trans am ownedddd me preety hardcore on topend,,, surely if this car was a 96-98gt motor with the pi swap that wouldnt of happened so bad.... idunno though

im going to see if i can hunt down the owner of the car and speak with him/her and see what they got to say about it

PI H/C/I swap, or whole engine swap you got nuthin on an LS1 with a decent driver, lol. Going by the soudn though, it's head swapped.

oh i know its hard to run with ls1's i sold my last ls1 killer lol i had a 04 srt-4 which was around 400+whp.... my friend has a 99 camaro with heads cam and boltons and made over 400whp on motor 520 on 125 shot.....

this car is getting full boltons and a 150 shot till it blows then a built motor and a blower.... i got a friend in nc that has a 00gt that is around 700whp on just boost and its a 2valve not counting he can spray it ::D has a huge kenny belle on it and a built motor it ran like 6.80 at 105mph in the 1/8 with a stock rear end on pump gas lol

the mustang doesnt even really seem to run as well as my 07 charger r/t... idunno though... the ls1 i ran it was very close race down low but when he hit 3rd around 80 or so he pulled my ass hard but i beleave the mustang has got like 430 gears in it maybe 411's i know on the istate around 75mph it turns nearly 3 grand.... the speedo is off like with the flow of traffic on istate it says 95 or so

Sounds right for 4.10's. 4.6's just don't get it done without a power adder, they are too small.

heh think i just noticed sumthan, didnt they switch over to the coil on plugs in 99? my car doesnt have that ad the plug wires say 1998 on them lol so it may be the original motor then lol i think ima just go take it and get it dynoed this weekend....

oh i know i was thinking earlier that it had the entire motor out of a 99-04gt in it but if that was the case it would have the coil on plugs ... just me thinking out loud kinda lol :snow_laugh:

not required either, and its actually more of a pain to swap from coil packs to coil-on-plug system than it is to just swap the coil pack brackets over to the PI engine.

my friend installed a 98 GT engine in his 99 GT ( :eek: dont ask...) and he kept the COPs on his car.

ok guys pulled the drivers side valve cover today and was suprised none the less... pics are uploading as i type this... the stamping on stabalizers or w/e u call them that the cams are held in place with are september of 2003, and the valve covers are stamped for 2002....

as far as a pi stamp didnt see it and as a matter of a fa ct my friend with his 03gt we pulled his cover off today and his didnt have this "pi" stamp either... what does it look like to u guys

you're lucky. they are PI heads. here is how i know.....

compare this pic of my old NPI heads:

yes,i know, mine is the passanger side, urs is the drivers side, but flip them around and they are the exact same thing. anyways, on my cam covers, you can see the extra 3rd bolt that i circled. ford got rid of that bolt on the 02-04 PI heads. so you sir, have PI heads. :xmassign:

where can i find casting numbers on the heads them selves ? i dont see nothing under the cam or anything.... thanks for all the help man.... i thaught i got a good deal on the car turns out i prob got an even better deal :xmascheers:

Under the manifolds, lol. Casting number's really don't matter, you got PI heads, grab some VT stage I NA's if you can find them, or Hitecs, and start whoopin LS1 butt.
