Can a 87 mustang rear w/ 3.55, fit under a 95 mustang gt

What will be easier to do pull the gears out a the 87 mustang and swap it, out with my 95 gears. what will it take to do this.

the rear will fit. It will be 3/4 of an inch shorter on each side though.
