This is regards to the above post by a supposed veteran of this site. You'd think being a veteran you'd be a little more compassionate for people who aren't quite as mechanically inclined - that's probably close to the majority who are here. You were a beginner at one point too, so try to keep this in mind before you respond with sarcastic and derogatory symbols to belittle others trying to gain knowledge and information. Hopefully, you veterans and some of the other moderators will be a little more considerate before you start to lose more people on this site.

Mechanically inclined or not... it's still funny, and i would have posted the same shit/will post the same shit if a question like that ever arises again, no matter who they are, or how long they've been there...

you don't have to be mechanically inclined to look at a head and realize if you turn it around the opposite way, it won't work... I've got a 14 year old brother who knows nothing about cars, or even cares about them, and i could show him, flip it, and ask him if it would work. I'm 99.999% sure he could figure out the answer...

NOW, if you want an answer to the actual question. NO, it won't work... your heads shouldn't have any fitment issues regarding the headers... if you're rubbing somewhere, it will be further down toward the K-member, or on the drivers side, possibly steering shaft.

Jonesy347 I'm still laughing at the question... I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but i find it ******* hillarious :hammer: :TY:

btw; I don't think i would let your current engine builder finish the project if he says it doesn't matter

what i'm saying is that the front of the head is at the back, (the correct bolt patterns for my acc. brackets was at the firewall, and the smog pump port is at the front.) so the driver's side is on the passenger's side.

sorry i wasn't clear on that part.

No this will not work. how would you even mount your accessories? certainly not at the firewall :hammer: I would also not let your engine builder continue the project go find someone else.

347ci(5.0 block)

The EGR ports were facing the front of the car. They have always faced the rear of the car, and when i went to bolt up my acc. brackets. the bolts didn't line up. So got to looking at it. and it appears that the driver side and passanger sides were flip floped. I know there is no left or right head on a 5.0.

And after looking at it in more detail. The "ported" heads he claimed he gave me, are hacked up. Appears that he let a 2yr. old play with a dremel on my stock heads.

Sorry if i lacked detail. Just thought it was gonna be a simple question... :hammer:

Dude that builder probably jacked up your whole engine. Do you actually KNOW its a 347??? I'd go back to him and take some buds with. He probably could tell you're not mechanically inclined and just did a hackjob. This is why you should always go with a reputable place that others have been to and KNOW is good. If, god forbid, you have to do this all over again get a motor built/shipped from adperformance.com or fordstrokers.com and you won't have a problem. At least you won't have one that is their fault.

DSS, Texas hot rods, and Coast high all make good engines as well...
