I got this mint boot from a guy who has a 04 just like mine. I think its called a parade boot. Don't know if he used it as he has a new boot of different style. This one does not have the snao button on the forward corners where as my car does have a snap in panel each side. I was told it would work on 04. Not sure but think it might be for earlier year, The real issue I'm wondering is how can I put the front section down into that slot behind seat as the boots tab goes forward not down? It seems to stiff to bend down? otherwise appears it would work.

The first few times, it is pretty stiff to bend that front tab down into the slot.

Best advice is to wait to a hot sunny day. Lay the boot out in the sun for an hour or so. This will make it soft and pliable. Then you can bend it much easier. I had the same issue with my boot as well. Had sat unused for so long the boot tab points forward, not down.

BTW that hard boot is a 94-00 and the one with the snaps is 01-04. You can use the earlier one on the later cars. It's much nicer than the newer one

I had both boots, so i made a video on install. I've been meaning to sell off my 01-04 boot

You can bend that crap any way you want. Once installed she will take shape in the sun. The only time i rock the boot is if rain is in the gorecast otherwise speedster cover 99.9 % of the time. The boot folds up and goes in the factory bag.

I watched your video earlier on.. it was well put together and informative. I thought that earlier boot was just like mine except my front tab points straight forwarn and not down. I see where mentioned wait for hot day. Tempted to try a hair dryer.. but will get to 80s/90s soon enough I suppose.

Yeah if it hasn’t been installed in some time it naturally straightens ou lt and is stiff.

I tried to install mine in the winter when I first got it and it wouldn’t make the bend.

One sunny day I laid it out it out in the sun and that did the trick.

But without little heat it won’t make this bend as shown below. Once you do it a few times it is much easier. If anything this desire for it to straighten out locks it in place. I’ve been up to 90mph with the boot in place and it holds fast. Meanwhile the 01+ boot I’ve had come loose at 60mph
