Can you remove the cruise control module?

Can you remove the cruise control module by just unplugging it? I'm not sure if it will effect anything else since it has a bunch of wires going into it. I'm working on weight reduction and wanting as much weight off the front as possible.

Yank it.. pull wires and cap vacum source. Deleted mine years ago.
