What about a brace the ones that go from the crank to the sc. Good thing I went with a vortech I guess.

Any picture or link? I thought I saw someone bolt a pulley on...not sure where...but it was very small...just put a little extra pressure on the belt. But I'm a noob of noobs, so I couldn't say for sure. Wish I had kept that link.

Thanks, but I have a 96...doesn't even look like the blower mounts in the same direction (on mine the belt is between the head unit and the block.

yeah Kurgan makes a brace for 5.0 clockwise blowers, but if you want a brace you'd have to go with a renegade bracket but trust me, thats for cars running 20+ psi and whos brackets are flexing...thats not your problem. I honestly cant even see you needing an 8 rib setup at that low of boost though either...

Yea...you would think, but when I had a procharger the bracket was literally a piece of aluminum with some holes in it.

They gave you a few spacers and basically expected it to work and I could rip a belt on command.

I guess it could be the alignment but I swear my alignment was spot on and it still flexed the bracket enough to throw belts like nothing.

I was running 12 psi on my NPI

I bet you are right, your alignment was probably spot on - at idle, I bet that under WOT and load something flexed enough to throw the alignment off.....

thats honestly just a shitty setup than with procharger because there is no reason on that mild of a setup to have belt shredding/alignment issues on that tame of boost setup and that large of pullies

Exactly my point lol

Glad I made the switch over to vortech when I did

I think procharger has stepped up their game on these newer cars but that old bracket design is terrible.
