car is acting weird

OK, My car is a 98 gt 2v non pi motor. I have recently noticed the car running poorly, but not to bad. Today was a normal day until I decided to open the throttle all the way. Then the car started to sputter while accelerating and vibrate the whole car. No check engine code on gauge cluster. It only does it at open throttle. The spark plug wires are msd and they're only a year old. The spark plugs are only a half a year old and they are motorcraft. I replaced the IAC valve in December due to it failing. I can't put my finger on it. Didn't know if anyone had any answers or have even heard or delt with this situation.

Check and make sure all your coils are plugged in securly. If thats good then make sure there are no leaks after the mass air flow sensor on the intake, and all that tubing is good. If thats good then pull a few plugs (should set a cel if thats it) and see how they look and just double check all the cables are on securely.

Put a fuel gauge on it rule out a fuel problem and go from there.

Reese! What did you do?

What RMPS does it do it at? All the way? Have you checked the vacuum lines? Made sure that all your connections for the spark puld wires/coil packs are good?

Think it might be some bad gasoline?

mine had a stumble like that not to long ago. I had just hit 110,000 and it started acting up so i just took some tb cleaner and had it running and sprayed the heck out of it. I did that for about almost a whole can until i could not see any black inside the throttle body then rechecked all my vacuum hoses just in case. after i did that it felt a whole lot better and did not stumble at all. Just for measure i had some race gas left over and mixed that with some 93. After making some ughh legal runs down the highway i never had that happen again. Just an idea.

Just an off beat question, why did you have race fuel, did you use it in your car before?

Regular maintenance items but probably the fuel filter.

it was for my fox body i was running it in a series here that car rarely saw the street. so i had some left over and when i mixed it worked liked octane booster.
