not really but soon enough it will happen.

for about a year now i've been able to hear my throw out bearing. nothing major just a little sound when im on the peddle. last night i was dropping off a friend and i could hear it clunking when the clutch was in. sounds like its freezing up and popping free. also only when its raining outside or has been i get a strange pop from my suspension. it happens when the front lifts and the rear takes load or when i coast into 2nd for a corner. i can feel the pop in the peddles and friends have said they feel it in the floor in the back seat and front.

anyone run the $189 ram HD clutch kit from AM? seems its the cheapest kit on the site and it has 35 good reviews, i wanted to know what you all thought of this kit and maybe some insight on the strange popping (it makes a sound like none i've ever heard a car make "bonk" is the only word that comes to mind)

car has stock clutch with 135k miles i have a king cobra clutch disc on my bench in the garage but no p plate or tob so i want to get a full kit.

The suspension noise sounds to me like a balljoint problem. They can make "popping" noise as the ball moves around in the balljoint "socket". I would think it would be squealing too though.

Interesting I hear the same "popping" sound from time to time when I back outta my driveway. Gotta look at my ball joints now...

the popping when the clutch pedal is applied could be your throw out bearing, or it could possibly be your clutch cable binding.. When my clutch
cable was on it's way out, it was making all kind of noises... I would look into replacing your clutch cable the same time you install the new clutch.
As far as the Ram clutch goes, I recently installed one on my 95 gt (after i sold it), and it seems like a decent clutch for the money. Pedal effort
is a little stiffer than I would like, but it's not too unbearable.. It would be a good choice if you are on a budget.

I just did my clutch due to t/o bearing failure!

I went with the Ram HD clutch kit and the HD Ford Racing adj. cable and quadrant kit! Both items cost me $276.88 with tax from BROTHERS in Deland Fla. The only thing that wasn't included in the kit was a pilot bearing which I picked up from Advance Auto Parts for about $9 I am very happy with this clutch pedal effort is very nice compared to my old King Cobra but my pedal effort was way off due to a binding and seized up clutch cable which was the culprit, ususally when you start having clutch or t/o bearing issues the wire is to blame!!! As far as the Ram HD clutch it grab's really well, has some real nice bite

i am on a budget and that is why i asked about the kit. a clutch cable is already on the list of parts with the clutch swap. balljoints are fairly cheap so no biggie there.

also the popping noise was around when i first got the car nearly 3 years ago, but i would only hear it once or twice a month. now a days its every 1-2-3 shift or if im in a gear and step on it a bit. it'll happen in 2nd at about 1/4 throttle.

side note, my clutch has had no adjustment left in it since i bought the car in feb of 08. but i dont think i would be able to make a failing clutch last nearly 3 years, im fairly hard on my stank.
