Would a bad ccrm cause my fan to stay on all the time while the car is running?

Sensor is brand new. Check engine light was on for a fan control failure...I'm assuming that would be the ccrm correct?

possibly. the cooling fan relays are inside of the CCRM. 1 could be stuck closed.

Found a 95 v6 coupe that is supposed to have one at pull apart...gonna go grab it tomorrow and see what happends. Is there a way to replace just a relay?

No the ccrm is all enclosed in a metal box. It is so much easier to replace the whole ccrm it's held in with a connector with a bolt type security piece and is held in place with 2 very small screws.

some one on this site did replace a relay inside the CCRM.
it's quite extensive because it's not made to be repaired. nor do I know where he got the relay from.
I also remember some on here swapped a CCRM from a Taurus as well. As an added benifit, the fan would continue to run for a few minutes after was turned off.

Yep going to PAP tomorrow so just to be clear... any CCRM off of a 3.8 v6 and a 5.0 v8 thats pre-obd2 will work correct?

Yes they will.. Aslong as it's got the big R on it.. You can test shot of the ccrm functions or circuits with a volt meter.. So you don't go out like me a buy some before checking anything Else.

Good luck finding one at PAP. CCRM & ICM usually first things cut out of the mustangs (usually they cut with the harness, so cant even get harness ends most the time).

CCRM no longer controls my fan as i have a A9P ecu and a fan controller. If PAP doesnt have one let me know i have a spare..

Ya PAP didn't have one. Not even on an F150 or Thunderbird. What is weird is that this morning the fan didn't come on at all... Ive replaced every sensor relating to the cooling system except for the CCRM so it has to be it...
