my next project will be my silver 2000 GT. without having to purchase any more product, here's my plan for the detail....

( in order )

-Mother's Clay Bar / Showtime Detailer
-CG 721
-CG p40 Polish
-CG Wet Mirror Finish
-AutoGlym HD

i plan on using my PC7424 for the application of the CG stuff. AutoGlym will be applied by hand. my main question is this : can i use the AG over the WMF? i know certain LSPs dont bond correctly to some glazes but i am thinking my combination should work well together, just wanted to ask to be sure.

thanks

Wet Mirror Finish looks TITS top with a high quality wax. It has alot of fillers in the glaze which gives that fake magazine look which I really Like.

I used to use WMF on my stang, but now I use EZ Creme glaze just because its easier to remove. WMF is a tough cookie to get off.

from my experience, WMF was SO Hard to remove.... But someone on DetailingBliss said that I waited too long to remove it but EZ creme glaze removes super easy with no effort

You can top anything over the WMF. Autoglym HD will look very good over WMF. Autoglym HD just didnt look super wet to me on my car so the glaze will help.

thanks guys

excited about trying the WMF but i now i dread removing it. i had read in a few different places that it really pops on silver. that, and it being on sale, is why i chose it over the ez creme glaze ( but i am wanting to try this also ). tried the autoglym on my GF's red 94 after using cg all-in-1 and was pretty happy with the results. the surface was super slick and beaded water like a mofo. the way cg's description is about WMF is that its 'worked into' the paint rather than wipe on/wipe off. so does it actually get removed?

handz - what color cars have you used WMF on? other than the elbow grease removal, pretty happy with it?

also-

is it ok going from the 721 to the p40 ? will the 721 mar the paint? will the p40 work well enough to correct the 721 or do i have to use the 778 rather than the p40?

thanks!

I'm by no means an expert but the 721 needed some clean up work after I was done on my black explorer. Minimal clean up w/ the p40 worked great for me.
