Any recommendations on how to clean and protect the underside of the car?

The car doesn't have rust problems, just oily and gross underneath. Just wondering what a good way to clean everything and then put some sort of undercoating on.

+2 on POR. Short of replacing sheetmetal this is the way to go. I'll be doing the same to mine in the spring. Inner 1/4s, inner strut towers, bottom edge of doors, radiator core support, rear bumper support, get as many spots as you can if they look questionable.
