Okay so it was raining pretty good on my way to work this morning.. I drive about 35 miles to work and about 30 of that is highway.. by the time I got off the highway this morning my clutch was acting stupid and it was hard to shift gears..

Once I got to the parking lot at work I put the clutch to the floor and shifted to first and the car started pulling with it in gear.. so not being able to do much else I backed up into my spot and came into work..

My car has done this one time before about 2 weeks after I put the clutch in but I thought it was just breaking in and needed to be adjusted.. so I tightened up the cable and went on my way..

But now that its happened twice I think back on it the first time it happened it was raining good too.. can the clutch getting wet cause this?? I assumed a wet clutch would slip??

Any weird noises? I just did my clutch this weekend because the throw out bearing grenaded. Shifting was also tough, but it sounded like a belt slipping when I put the clutch down.

Did you repace the throw out bearing and pilot bearing? Both of those can cause the clutch not to work so smooth. Not sure rain would have anything to do with it tho.

No noises... And I replaced clutch disc pressure plate fly wheel throw out bearing and pilot bearing..

I didn't think rain would make it act like this.. but just found it odd that both times it done this was while it was raining heavy..

check your quadrant. .. it may be flexing.
check your cable. .. it may be stretched.
as Musturd said, make sure your dust shield is on.
is it leaking any oil? Your rear main seal may be leaking and covering the clutch in oil...

Okay well I got off work and hoped in my car expecting to have to try and get my clutch working before I left.. But to my surprise it worked fine.. somthing about it getting wet in the rain is making it stick.. I dont have the dust cover on so I guess ill try to find one at the pull a part this weekend..
