ive noticed that when i downshift into 3rd at a higher RPM, it grinds.. so does this mean i need a new clutch? adjust the cable? or be screwed into transmission work? :tickedoff:

im the same guy that has the wrong odometer gear in when they put the 3.73s in. so miles i have no clue. its up there tho.. 100000+.... i drive a lot..

You should adjust your clutch first to ensure it is fully releasing, and make sure you push the pedal ALL THE WAY DOWN when shifting. Your syncros/gears may be worn, but you can probably baby it for a long time to come.

I've got a trans or clutch question too! When taking off from a stop light: Just after the point I fully release the clutch in 1st gear, I get a grinding sound like grinding a gear, but its very quite and hard to actually hear, but its there.

So a very quite grinding sound after clutch is realesed, fully engaged. Only lasts about 1 second. I am not shifting when this noise happens.

What could it be?

Oh, if it matters, its a 94 cobra with a T5

^That sounds like a clutch issue. Could be the cable, the stock plastic quadrant or the clutch itself.
