clutch pedal?

so i went out to start my car, pushed in the clutch and heard a snap sound, the pedal then went to the floor. what could have broke???

i looked at the pedal and the cable is still attatched to the adjuster. should i look under the shield on the tranny.

yeah i would see how much slack is down on the tranny itself

u can also have someone press the clutch while u crawl under the car and look

Check the tranny end. If that is still atached to the trans, diconect it and try to pull the cable out of the casing. If it is broken it should pull out. If it is in one piece you broke the clutch or fork. But that is doubtful.

so if i did brake any one of those, would i get them from FORD?? anyone reccomend upgrading the cable?

get the stock non adjustable cable

ive heard of lots of problems with the adjustable ones

so i disconnected the cable from the pedal, and it just pulled right out.
