Clutch problem

I have a 1995 Cobra, myproblem is that when I adjust the clutch the clutch fork bottoms out against the front of the window. I purchased a Lakewood adjustable pivot ball 15504. This is the same length as my stock pivot ball. Has any one with a 1995 had this problem if so what did you do to correct. It seems like the geometry is off?? Just built a 349 for it and I upgraded the tranny. I am running a G-Force gear set with a 26 spline input shaft. The clutch is a RAM 88794HDT. I thinking that the cltuch is wrong or the throwout bearing is wrong???

I will be calling RAM on Monday to make sure I have the right clutch. No ideas??

Which bellhousing are you using ?

The clutch kit you need is 98794HDT

The clutch you have is for a TKO not a T5 like you have.

I assume the TKO is a shorter bellhousing??? This was recommended for my application from the tranny supplier. I to looked at the RAM web. Did you see a clutch for my setup?? I did not.

Yeah I looked in Summit and saw the 98794HDT. Then I looked at RAM web and found the 98794HDT is on the same line as my 88794HDT just different set type. I will call RAM tomorrow. I think I need a different pressure plate, one for a standard 95 bellhousing but a TKO disc. As shown as I click 26 spline The sites direct me to the TKO setup.

I have talked to the clutch people and FORD tech and both agree to shim the stock ball stud. i will try tonight. Let you know.

I stacked two 1/2 washers between the stud and bellhousing. The thickness was 0.158. The fork moved rearward 1/2 inch looks better now. I started with three washers at 0.242 but there was not enough clearance to slid the fork onto the stud. I have pictures but not sure how to attach.
